And it’s funny sometimes when I title these episodes, I just have to laugh because I almost feel like there’s an air of playful sarcasm with this title. You’re very busy schedule.Because if you know my teachings or […0.5s] you are familiar with concepts in my podcast, you might know where I’m coming from a bit when I talk about business. And what we’re gonna get to today is that a lot can change in terms of how busy you are if we change our mindset and how we manage our thoughts.Now if you are new to that and you’re like, I was here for some practical information, I really just want concrete change.Hear me out. Because a lot of the time mindset work is presented as very fluffy. And a recent one I did […0.6s] was called your busy schedule because I really needed to fill my ladies in on how not only them but myself, women I, have email me and reach out to me for help. How all of us are keeping us stuck because of the thought I’m just too busy.I swear to y’all, I get so many messages from you guys and I was no different. So there’s never any judgment for me.So many messages saying I am just too busy […0.6s] to have this result in my life. I don’t know what to do. I need a solution that works perfectly with my business or I need to wait until I’m not busy anymore. And really we can validate any schedule we have and the fact that it might be full.But what we always need to come back to is that we cannot inherently be busy. This is not something we can prove in a court of law as a fact. It is a perspective.Now stay with me, because this is not to minimize. If you genuinely believe and do have a busy schedule, it’s not one or the other. But what we have to get to together here to solve this problem for good is we must acknowledge that business only exists […0.5s] in our minds.So by the end of this episode, you’re gonna see exactly how this is working for you now, no matter where you’re starting from. If we wait until we’re not busy to prioritize meeting our basic needs with our health, we will be waiting a lifetime.And y’all will already know this if you think back and look at how you created results with healthy eating and weight loss.So maybe we’ll have a season […0.7s] where we think, oh, it’ll be different, if I’m less busy. Maybe we go on vacation, maybe we get a break from work, or the kids are back in school. And we think, there really is an ideal time where I’m more busy or less busy.And then based on that, it’ll increase the likelihood of how well I follow through […0.6s] with my weight loss goal.But always, you guys, the reason why things always go back to business where you feel like you can’t create this result, it’s not because of your life. It’s because of how you’re managing your mind.And here’s what a busy state of mind looks like physiologically. It looks like constant disembodiment. So it’s very urgent, it’s reactive. There’s almost this desperation to it for us, and it is a constant lack of inner peace.Alright. So it’s very high functioning and normalized in our society to be busy minded because we have acclimated to it so much as a culture that we even feel weird now if we’re not busy, right? What should I be doing? Shouldn’t I be solving something?Shouldn’t I be accomplishing something? I know so many of y’all have those times when you finally get to have a break and check out of work or tasks or whatever it is you’re doing and you feel like you can’t even relax and then you never do take a break, right?Y’all are busy even when you go on vacation or when you’re trying to go to sleep.Haha. And that’s because it is something that is happening in our brains. We have taken it so far in humanity post industrial era to the point where if we don’t feel like we’re producing, we feel unsettled, it can create anxiety, it can create a state of perpetual survivally based […0.5s] stressed.And this is something that as women and as people we need to collectively heal together in order to have the sustainable results with our body that we want, right?So because this heightened state of busy being, exist, there are two things going on at once. So I want you to evaluate where this is happening for you. On one end, we feel like we’re not creating results or results worth having unless we’re putting a lot of effort and time into it. So this is what we equate stability to.A lot of you listening here will relate in that you feel more comfortable creating results from a lot of effort than getting things easily. And I know you want things to be easy. I know you see the value in that. That is why y’all […0.6s] hire me as your coach and that’s why you listen to this podcast.However, what I’m referring to is the natural state of your brain. And what you will have is a resistance to letting things be simpler or easier, because what you have been taught is that the more productive you are, the more, tougher things are, the more worthy your success is. So that is a product of busy mindedness.[…0.5s] And another thing that happens, and this is actually in relation to that first part is we also have become extremely fragile […0.6s] to change.And a lot of us are actually not very good at adapting, and this goes for the most intellectual, successful woman. It doesn’t matter. I’ve coached at all. I have coached myself. And this really leaves us not very good at adapting with our environment when we want a result.So here’s what this looks like. What this means is we’re so busy in our minds and we’re so reactive to this that we lack basic resourcefulness, self parenting, healthy discipline with our actions, no matter what our circumstances are, right?We feel so […0.5s] attached to our circumstances being organized and perfect to achieve a result. And we’ve become very fragile in creating them that we feel like even just, a full schedule or a change in environment will mess us up.We have trouble because of this business accessing this middle where we are firmly responsible for our health results without burning ourselves out.Because we only know two modes, my friends, this is exactly what I coach on. We know, pushing ourselves endlessly to feel productive and worthy of the results we have, or because of that, we burn out completely and then don’t do anything and feel incapable.Haha, right? It’s that all or nothing you either are following through perfectly or not at all. So I have been here many times. I am my best case study. And what […0.6s] are we really saying collectively? Let’s think, what are we really saying when we think […0.6s] I’m just too busy? I want you to really zoom out and evaluate that.What are you actually saying when you think I’m just too busy? And you’re letting yourself believe that thought. Now here’s what generally were saying most of the time.What we’re saying is I’m having a mental and emotional capacity issue. So what we’re not actually saying is my schedule is full. And even if your schedule is full, even if your calendar is full, this isn’t what’s going on because a schedule being full is neutral. It’s neutral math. It doesn’t inherently bring up emotion or stress on its own.Your thoughts about the schedule bring up the fight or flight in your brain when perpetuated without addressing it. So in other words, even just the thought I’m busy […0.6s] will create a state of perpetual overwhelm and reactivity in your day to day life.It’s gonna build up into this ongoing stress and then within that state, you can’t prioritize your basic needs or quote unquote fine time for them, […0.5s] right? It’s gonna feel impossible because to find time for things resourcefully is strategic.It’s math based. It’s a tactical problem. And you always have the time for the things you want. In regards to your health, you can always figure out how to make it work.That’s resourcefulness. You have everything you need, but you cannot solve for logical resourceful math when you are indulging a survivally based emotional problem.I’m gonna say that one again. You cannot solve for logical resourceful math with your goal when you are indulging a survivally based emotional problem with your schedule. It’s gonna be impossible.And this is where it can feel really discouraging because despite how intellectually, […0.5s] apt you are an intelligent and capable, you’re gonna feel just really, weirded out sometimes by how hard it is for you to solve this problem with your health and weight loss. Because it all just feels too much.Even the most intellectual people can lose access to their logical deliberate brain when high stress is occurring.And a lot of us, what’s happening is we do not understand the functionality of our thoughts, and how thoughts we are allowing ourselves to think day to day are perpetuating the spider flight that’s causing everything to feel impossible.And so what I really wanna get to today is when we stick our feet in the MUD with the thought, I’m just so busy. This has a crazy effect on our ability to show up with healthy eating and weight loss.And not only that, the stress from perpetuating this actually prevents your body from losing weight. Because what does our body do in a stress state with our weight? It holds on to it. It bars down the hatches, and that’s just what it is designed to do. So here’s what I want to happen, and I want you to try this on.When you notice you believing day to day, I am busy. I want you to take that belief captive. I want you to actually sit with it, question it, evaluate what does that actually mean for me? What is busy to you?How emotionally does this thought make you feel? Because here’s the thing, if that thought brings up overwhelm or stress, you are not speaking facts, my friends.This is a thought and a belief you’re having that’s creating emotion. And you don’t have to disagree with the thought, I’m busy. That’s not the point. You just need to acknowledge that what you are perpetuating when you are thinking that thought is the emotional state of overwhelm. It’s layering overwhelm on top of overwhelm.And then as a culture, we wear business like a badge of honor and we’re all indulging each other with how busy we are.The amount of women I coach and again I get it, the amount of women I coach with. How much overwhelm they have because of how busy they are, and they’ve never questioned it, because all of their co workers are just going around agreeing with each other and saying, we’re just so busy.And we’re all choosing our thoughts every day that create overwhelm. And it’s so easy to do this because none of us are taught how to really pay attention to the thoughts we’re using to fuel our day, right?So the point here is to create results, and you want to create results in your life in all areas without seeing it as a badge of honor to busy ourselves in our mind, we want to surrender this concept of just being busy, and we need to no longer hold on to this suffering and keep it close to our chest.Because business feels like success that we’re earning in areas of our life now in case it helps, because y’all know I take inspiration from you guys, my clients everyone.And I want you to know I have had clients, again, from all different walks of life. I want you guys to hear me. I have had clients from every circumstance, areas of life, jobs, types of schedules. I’ve seen it all.And, whether that’s people stationed abroad in different countries, night shift, Dr, nurses, teachers, mamas, celebrities, everything. And it is not to put some schedules on a pedestal above others.What I wanna get you is that a schedule is quite literally only ever a circumstance. I have seen […0.6s] people suffer with so much overwhelm from a very, quote unquote light schedule. And I’ve also been there too.And then I’ve seen people on the opposite end of the spectrum who have a very full schedule and they feel free and they feel easeful. It is in our minds. So what I want us to think about is what’s creating business and the story that you need to be less busy in your brain. I want you to really sit with this.This is a great journaling exercise. If you’re like me and you wanna dump these thoughts out onto paper, and the question you can think about is what relationship do you have with your schedule right now? What if you can’t be busy? What if that is not something that can exist in your life outside of your control?And when you feel that way, it’s just pointing you toward a feeling that exists in your body? And then that’s what needs to be acknowledged and processed.[…0.5s] I know this is a lot of perspective, especially if you’re new.
